The Northeast Georgia Schutzhund Club
The Northeast Georgia Schutzhund Club was established in 1976 in Athens, Georgia by Dr. David and Heidi Landau. It was the first WDA club in Georgia and also held the very first WDA trail in 1982. It is a club of rich history and tradition that continues to this day. The club’s membership consists of dog enthusiasts of a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels from breeders and trainers with over thirty five years in the dog world to the newcomers to the sport. Our training facilities are located on the private property of the Landau’s in Athens, Georgia and training sessions are held every Sunday morning and on Wednesday evenings.
The Northeast Georgia Schutzhund Club and its members are active promoters and participants in the GSDCA-WDA and are dedicated to the preservation of the German Shepherd Dog. It is also a high priority of the club to educate and inform the public about the sport of Schutzhund and the value of working dogs to society.
